Set up your first automation in three steps
Connect an account, pick a post and a keyword, write the DM. About a minute, start to finish.
If you have an Instagram Business or Creator account, the whole setup takes about a minute. Here is the shape of it.
1. Connect your Instagram account
From Accounts, click Connect Instagram. You sign in on Instagram's own screen and approve the permissions there, so your password never reaches us. Personal accounts cannot be automated by anyone — switch to Creator in the Instagram app first, it is free and takes a moment.
2. Pick the post and the keyword
Choose a specific post or Reel, or leave it on "Any post" to cover the whole account. Then set your keywords. Matching ignores case, punctuation and emoji, so GUIDE!! and guide 🙏 both count. Add words to the exclusion list if there is a phrase you never want to trigger on.
3. Write the reply and the DM
Give a few variations of the public reply, one per line — we rotate through them so Instagram does not see the same sentence repeated. Then write the DM itself, with your link and an optional button. Turn on the follow-gate here if you want the link held back until the person follows.
Test it before you post
Switch the automation on, then comment your own keyword on the post from another account or your phone. Watch the public reply appear and the DM arrive, and check the Activity page to see both logged. If something was skipped, Activity tells you exactly why.
